The tales of Sherlock Holmes have been made into films and TV shows many times, and usually each version has its own unique spin on the classic tale to differentiate it from all the others. Holmes and Watson (2018) definitely has its own take on the classic, but that doesn't mean it's any good.

Will Ferrell takes on the role of Sherlock Holmes with the tough task of turning Holmes and Watson into a comedy. The film is plagued with poorly written jokes and uncomfortable political nods to the audience. It felt like the whole point of the film was to make jokes about Donald Trump (despite being set in Victorian times).
The film is so bad it won 4 awards at the Golden Raspberries: Worst Picture, Worst Director, Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Prequel, Rip-off or Sequel. Being awarded 1 Golden Raspberry is embarrassing enough, but 4 is career ending.
I don't think I laughed once during the film. So do yourself a favour and don't waste 90 minutes of your life on this rubbish.
