5✯ Robin Hood - The Legend You Know. The Story You Don't.

I was not particularly enthused by the idea of watching the new Robin Hood film. It's the same old story told again and again in what seems to be a new film released every year. I know the story, he robs from the rich and gives to the poor, blah blah blah. Bow and arrow isn't exactly the most thrilling weapon choice either.

But how wrong was I?! I am so glad I watched the new Robin Hood film. Some how they made non-stop action packed fight scenes using just a bow and arrow. Taron Egerton's portrayal of Robin Hood was the perfect mix of arrogant and humble to give Robin Hood some depth. Little John, played by Jamie Fox, broke away from the traditional character of Little John, adding his own swagger to the role.

I am so shocked and confused to see that Robin Hood only has 5.3 out 10 stars on IMDB. Perhaps many of the reviewers like the traditional tale, but this film is exactly what it promises: The Legend You Know. The Story You Don't.

If you're reluctant to see yet another Robin Hood film like I was, then I definitely recommend you give it a watch!
