Emma Thompson's protesting fail

The recent climate change protests in London are just laughable. Don't get me wrong, I completely agree that big changes needed to be made to protect our environment, but the protesters are so ignorant and made the whole issue of climate change a joke.

Hollywood actress Emma Thompson joined the protest, hoping that her celebrity influence would help the cause. All Emma Thompson really did was show herself to be just another celeb that will get behind any campaign to get herself attention and make her appear to be a good human being when in reality she couldn't care less. Oh Emma you're such a wonderful human being for planting some trees, that it really doesn't matter that you took a plane to get to the protest and regularly fly in and out of LA. I couldn't believe my ears when she genuinely thought that planting a lot of trees made up for flying across the world on a regular basis.

My next issue with the climate change protesters is that they glued themselves to a train. They prevented a train full of people getting to work using a train, who then probably had to get taxis each to work. Public Transport is far more environmentally friendly than the alternative of each passenger getting a taxi or driving. How have these stupid protesters helped the environment? The best part of this is that protesters have travelled from all over the country to get to London, so if trains are so awful how did they all get there? Did they all walk? Somehow I doubt it.

The protest seems to be full of people who just want the enjoyment of going on a protest and don't fully understand the cause they are protesting about. Stopping making England a laughing stock to the rest of the world and please will my generation (18-25 year olds) stop feeling the need to protest about everything, making our generation seem like a bunch of spoilt, wingey brats.
